Germany Trip

It's been a while since I last posted anything, part of it has been lack of motivation and the other has been that I've been away on a trip. A trip to Germany =D
I just got home yesterday [ January 16, 2012 ] So I got to spend New Years in Berlin with my BF, what a fun evening it was, soooo many people. If you are not a fan of crowds this will definitely not be your cup of tea. The big NYE bash was held at the Brandenburg Gate and consisted of a mile long stretch of food and drink vendors, various stages with preformers and singers, a huge Ferris Wheel, and fireworks!! We had a BLAST! Getting out of the crowd was a little difficult but it's all part of the experience I suppose. Berlin was a fun city to be in with lots of sites to see and places to go! We ended up at the Hard Rock Cafe twice!

New Years day and the remainder of the trip we visited Eric's family. Grandparents, Cousins, Aunts and Uncles.... It was a good feeling to finally meet the rest of his family since he's met the majority of all mine. I enjoyed hearing all their stories of when he was little and of course the photo albums came out! The weather for the trip was fairly good, not to much snow. And as for the autobahn...not for me. I don't like driving in general let alone being a passenger anymore...They drive way to fast over there for me haha!

I'm glad to be home but now its back to reality and work soon. Sigh.

Ugh.

Wow that really bothers me

When you do a service for someone and they are nice to your face throught the whole treatment, then you find out that they disliked something.

I'd rather you be real and speak up that you are not enjoying something or when i ask you how you are JUST SAY.

No need to write a lame review when you dont even know.

WOW! Today was filled with rollercoaster day of emotions.

Wake up: Have a nice chat with mom.

Go to the beach have fun watching surfers and be amazed at how high the tide was and the swell!

Dodge a few ways to avoid getting soaked, cell phone falls out of pocket and right into the waves i'm dodging.

Cell phone dies. RIP LG EVE. you where a good phone and my trustie little camera.

By this time I'm in a foul mood because of my phone perdicament. I have many disagreements throughout the day with BF probably due to my foul mood and his general foul moodyness.

Go to store pick up groceries of French Onion Soup---> YUM!

Go to other store to upgrade my phone. No more broken phone and now i have an iPhone 4! =D

In Bed: Downloading apps, reading, typing this blog, hoping the power doesnt go out cause of the wind/ rain storm ( westcoast weather gotta love it! ), avoiding ppl because of their moodyness, cats curled up at my toes.

Nicki Minaj OPI

Early in the New Year OPI is coming out with their new polish collections one of them being Nicki Minaj. When teaming up with OPI the singer created six new polish that are limited edition collection, all named after her hit songs.

The polish colours include:
A metallic gun metal called Metallic 4 life
An multi coloured shimmer called Save Me
A purple shatter called Super Bass Shatter
Bright Pink called Pink Friday

Quick Look #2

Yesterday evening I was invited out to dinner with a friend of mine. We went to a newer restaurant in my "small" town that I have been to before. Food was good, as always! I had a spicy sausage and mussels pasta dish then we went back to my friends how and watched a movie. Since I had been lounging around the house all day and had done nothing with my makeup I decided to do something fun.

This look is like a purple smokey eye with a wash of pink and light cremes. My camera is really not the best so please excuse the bad quality. The colours and look in general looks better in person. =D

That's all for this look ...not to much just requires blending. I used a flat shader brush to apply Her Ladyship to the inner corner of my eye and blended lightly over it with Paradisco to create peachy pink wash of colour. Then for the outer colour i used a pencil brush to create the shape for the purple using Stylin first then applying a small amount of Nocturnelle mixed with the purple Coastal scents colour I blended the outer V/ corner making it softer. I wanted to keep the purple for in the outer corner than dragging it in so the colour will lightly fade and blend into the lighter colours on the lid as you go in towards the pupil. For the brow highlight I applied Crystal Avalanche and applied a tiny bit to the inner tear ducts. For the lower lid i took a tiny amount of all 3 purples and smudged it under the eye to about the pupil. Apply a little bit of eyeliner to the tops and bottoms of your waterline and then Mascara.  VOILA! you have this look.

A friend lent me this book and so far what I have read, its great! The book is a prequel to the Carrie Bradshaw we all know and love from the Sex and the City. Her younger years of her senior year in high school, before she  became a writer and the queen of New York =D

Synopsis: Before Sex and the City, Carrie Bradshaw was a small-town girl who knew she wanted more. She's ready for real life to start, but first she must navigate her senior year of high school. Up until now, Carrie and her friends have been inseparable. Then Sebastian Kydd comes into the picture, and a friend's betrayal makes her question everything.
