Quick Look

Here's my quick make-up look of the day:

I was feeling a little inspired by a youtube makeup guru: Marlena from Makeup Geek TV. I thought I'd try the look she did for her Pretty in Pink: Breast Cancer Look. Now I didn't have any of the brands she used in her tutorial but I looked through my own to find some similar colours. Overall I think the looked turned out really well and it will be something I would do again in the future.

Took my a little while to get the blending just right ( im a little bit of a perfectionist when i blend lol! ) This is a great look to do with other colours, similar to a cut crease but a little simpler...I think. I would love to try this with purples or greens next!

Pink shadows and colours really seem to make blue eye POP!

Here is a list of the products eye used to create a similar look:
Face:
  • Jane Iredale Pressed Mineral Power- Natural
  • Two Faced Shadow Insurance Primer
  • MAC Paint Pot- Painterly
  • Jane Iredale Blush- Sheer Honey
Eyes:
  • MAC Shadow- Sushi Flower
  • Coastal Scents 88 Shimmer Palette- Top Row, 7th Shadow over ( a light pink )
  • Jane Iredale Eye Shadow Triple- Pink Bliss ( used the baby pink and the lightest white pink )
  • MAC Technakohl Liner- GraphBlack
  • MAC Pigment- Your Ladyship
  • Loreal Mascara- Million Lashes

Here is the link to the Makeup Geek tutorial. Enjoy and have fun!

Diamond Candles

A ring in EVERY Candle! For real?

Now I haven't had the chance to experience or try one of these candles but the whole idea around them I just LOVE. You buy the candle and at the bottom of every one is a ring. The rings themselves are worth $10, $100, $1000, or $5000. Crazy right!? Unfortunately they only ship within the US at the moment but once they are able to ship to Canada....I WILL BE GETTING ONE! From their website the rings look really nice, they don't tell you the value of your ring once your candle is burned down but if you post a picture to their facebook page Diamond Candles will "appraise" it for you. The candle packaging seems really cute too. Simply designed.
